Aiming for the Olympics..

I've known a few guys who thought they were pretty smart, but you've got being right down to an art. You're a regular original, a know-it-all..

I am blessed to know a lot of Olympians. Olympic gold winners, medalists in general and people that have been. Most of them don't impress me that much.

These people are equestrians, and in some cases, in all honesty kind of average riders that made it on to the Olympic Games because of weird qualification rules more than actually being top of the line athletes. A handful are brilliant. Like the horsey kind of Usain Bolts if you'd like.

Just now I watched our neighbour pack her stuff into her car and take off. This young girl is currently a wanna bee Olympian and is aiming to take part of the next winter games coming up. She is truly amazing.

The dedication and devotion she puts in to her sport is insane, and the bravery in which people basically throw themselves down a snowy, icy mountain in the winter never stops to impress me.

Grow up will ya

and start acting like a man..

Myself is staying put on home base, after all the debacle with my work schedule this week I decided to call it quits. Talking to the big boss yesterday really did not help taking the discussion forward, instead he was starting to recite poetry, as in reading back the messages we sent back and forth. Really? That's how you want to play?

The only thing I learnt from me calling him, was that he is not planning to make any kind of changes, and that he didn't have an answer in why I suddenly was off the whole schedule for this week, so why bother.

Not only was this the most childish phone call and behaviour of a grown man like ever, and I am married for a long time now and know first hand in how childish grown men can be when arguing, but in the end of the day life's also too short to choose to spend hours of it in traffic jam around the roads of the Benelux anyway.
