I always liked your house...

Yesterday the guys that are going to fix our sad and boring drive way finally turned up. So far we are really happy with the first of all ground work they've put into the drive way before putting the pavers back. Yes, putting them back.
We are actually reusing our old pavers but turning them around to the ugly wanna bee gravel look and feels ends up in the bottom and the beautiful bottom ends up on top and mix them up.
The mixing up being the ones from the side of the garage [beige] being mixed with the ones from in front of the garage [grey]. The result of this is a paved area that now looks alive and living, in opposite to dull and boring. With the gravel for the extended parking it will look amazing.
Also looking amazing is our house. Of course we are bias, but it is a nice house. But as bias as we may be there's a lot of people complimenting us on what we have done to the house.
As late as yesterday a woman came walking by on the street and stopped to talk to us and was like; I always liked your house and it is so nice to see it come to life again after the old owner lost control of the maintenance.
Words like that really can make ones day, especially when living on a "construction site" for almost five years now. First in our old house, and then in our "new house", as we still tend to call it even three years in.
But now when "the Rock" [no joke] and his buddy are busy with our drive way and the weather is some kind of semi normal in regards to heat we can focus on doing those final things that are now standing in between us and the grand opening of our B&B.
How very exciting!
