I love digging in the garden..

I love digging around in our garden. Some days are more fun the others. Today was one of the fun days. For one I found some amazing outdoor tiles by our log cabin.

A bit awkward maybe since we lived here for 2.5 year already. But never before did I noticed the pattern in these tiles.

Now I just hope we can make better around the area of our log house. The house itself has turned out to be an endless source of arguments and debates in what we should to do it.

I’d like to keep it as a guest house, workshop office kind of thing. My significant other wants to use it as a garden shed and to keep birds.

If you want a garden shed BUILD ONE, and don’t use a perfectly built log house with potential for something completely different to keep your garden tools. It’s a simple as that.

Even more so since we have a really tall high wall on the back side of it. Using that wall we could build a big all purpose shed in matter of days.

In our pond area I have started to dig down border stones. Really big ones so I can level the place out but also so I can put wood shavings behind the border and get my japandi tree plantation weed free.

The trees are covering up another huge wall. I refer to is as the great wall of China cover up.

After planting some well selected trees and shrubs “against” it earlier in the summer. We are now seeing less and less of that wall, which was the whole idea in the first place anyway.

I also started to dig up bulbs from the flower beds. Today was Gladiolus day.

They were a bit rushed down into the ground, and for next season I really need to find them a better spot. Tomorrow Dahlias, if I can find them. They really were a bust this season.
