I saved a chicken...
The other day I saved a beautiful stressed out chicken from getting killed on a busy road. Her partner in crime was probably not as lucky. But I could not get to her without risking either my own or her life. And I could not bare the thought of having to watch her get run over by a truck or a car.
However, one of the two was indeed rescued. It took a while but it felt good to see her inside the fence again ❤️
But...
Theres no footage to be seen of this rescue.
No video.
No photos.
Cause in opposite to Instagram rescues, actual real life rescues rarely, if ever, include either camera crews nor narrators.
So in this very much real life scenario, it was just me, the chickens, and all the busy people driving down the road not caring one single bit about me or the chickens.
Still I felt like a super hero saving a life, but in the end of the day it makes me so sad this is the world we live in. A world where people seem to be too busy to care.
