Living on the edge..

I feel so blessed we’re living on the edge of a National Park. What a joy. And it’s quite amazing we even live here. Since this part of our region of choice when finally leaving the big city wasn’t on our list.

But thanks to the pandemic and the hysteria that followed when everybody and just about anybody suddenly was looking for a country side retreat this is where we ended up.

The past week we’ve started to enjoy it even more. All this for investing in e-bikes. Some people, my boss being one of them, seem to think biking on an e-bike is no exercise what so ever.

Come again what? Nothing could be further from the truth. I.E. me have managed to bike some plus 85km only since Friday.

A quick calculation on this magical number tells me I would have had to make 57 rides - back and forth - to the food store in the big city to even get close to this number. 57 times!! And biking back and forth for groceries is basically all we did when living in the city. At least when it comes down to biking.

So wanna bet I burned more calories the past week on the e-bike than I ever did in the city? Cause I’m pretty sure I did.

I also got the chance to enjoy nature and nature is what I want to explore even more. Since I am an ex professional photographer of trade. As in pro turned amateur I have all the gear in the world to bring out into the forest and fire away. What a treat!
