New flowers..
Not only for us humans but also for the poor animal life we deprived of their homes last summer.

My significant other may not be as excited as yours truly but I just couldn't help myself. So of course I came home with some new plants after heading to the local garden centre.
No, reffering to it as the local garden centre would be stretching it a bit. Cause it is actually one of two local garden centres.
For some reason unexplainable to mankind it is also my favourite one. This even though I actually worked there on a temporary contract together with some of the nicest people I have ever worked with.
But working at the garden centre also meant I was working together with one of the worst wanna bee managers all time high. I never ever came across anybody treating people as bad as this woman did.
And I mean PEOPLE. Not just me. People in general. Staff, delivery people, her own kids and who ever she was yelling at on the phone or in person. They all got their fair chair of mistreatment.
Anyhow. I went there to look at a table for our up and coming side venture at home base. The table turned out to be over priced but also a bit too clonky but hey. We could always try and build our own.
The plant department was a way bigger winner this day. Five beautiful specimens ready for planting in the side garden of our house followed me home. The side garden of ours is - as anything else really - a huge project.
The first project when moving in last year was to get rid of the ivy. Cause this bit of a side garden was completely covered with ivy.
And even though I did not care for the ivy covering the ground I am really hoping I can make amends and replant something beautiful and useful.
Not only for us humans but also for the poor animal life we deprived of their homes last summer and fall while removing all the plants we didn't want to keep.
So today I came home with five pots of plants to try and get the progress in our side garden moving.
I also have some 30 heavy pavers that need to get into the very same side garden making a nice walk way through what I hope will be an amazing colourful flower bed some months from now. Stay tuned..
