Depressing..

I am a bit lost for words. Yesterday morning I did not see any fish in our pond. Like no one. Yesterday afternoon same thing and late at night I spotted a tiny tail when out with the flashlight.

So this morning I started to empty the pond to 1. clean it up and 2. search for fish.

I found the six small ones. The three bigger ones are mysteriously gone without a trace. Like really without a trace.

One would think that a cat, racoon or other creature catching three big fish would make a mess around the pond but no. Or if the fish actually jumped out of the pond themselves there would be some kind of trace of them. But again no.

I am so bummed out. One of the ones missing was the one that I had come so close so I could hand feed. I never had that connection with a fish and in all honesty did not get a thing like that would even be possible. It sucks.

For now I won’t buy any new fish but keep the small pack and make sure to build them a bigger and a safer home. Stay tuned..
