I love the Holiday Season..

Mulled wine, is an alcoholic drink. Usually made with red wine, along with various mulling spices and sometimes raisins, served hot or warm. It is a traditional drink during the Christmas Holidays.

I truly love the Holiday Season. The idea of sliding down the stairs into the living room to see the lit up tree is one of my absolute favourite things to do. If anything this is what brings out ones inner child. Even knowing the gifts are fake, and just laying there as props, still make it worth the while.

This year we had our tree up since mid November. Insanely early, but a genuine error of me reading the dates wrong when quickly scouting through the calendar for a dinner party planned at our place. So the coming weekend will be my forth with the 2024 edition of a tree.

My new love

But I have a new love. A small bioethanol table fire place that moved into our house last week.

Being a table sized fire place it is not big. But it is big enough to make ones breakfast and or dinner sitting warm and cozy.

Even the stubborn [ex marine] hubbie of mine have admitted this is is a nice thing. I also figured out it is way cheaper to burn bioethanol than candles. Plus unlike it does generate heat.

So my new quest is now to find a bigger one. A wood burner sized one for a corner in our living room that is just that. A corner in the living room.

Hopefully sometime soon it will stop being just a corner in the living room. But instead turn into the corner with the fireplace. So I can sit with my feet up, sip on some mulled wine and enjoy life.
