New year, new goals..
Working toward an objective provides your brain with focus and direction. This, in turn, gives your life more purpose and structure.
An old friend of mine posted on a social media outlet she was thankful for surviving yet another year. These days we’re not close enough for me to know exactly what was behind this kind of comment. Even so, I can relate.
Lately I felt so whiny and unfocused. Part of it for sure come from my hubby getting so horribly sick in December and then almost dying. Other parts descend from that horrible work place of mine.
Now it is not clear to me if I do still have a job or not. Will try and figure that one out tomorrow. The only thing I am sure of is I am on the search for something else. Not only to get a steady income, but also developing my own business.
So I spend time on this other creative project. A project that I am hoping for to kick off for real the coming year. If not I will leave it alone for good and never look back. Cause that’s the thing, being creative is one thing. Knowing when to stop another.
Sometime during the pandemic I i.e. pulled the plug on my photo business. But lately I am starting to feel and urge to reclaim it.
Maybe not by doing as much event photography as I used to do but something else. Like photo stories, creating those unique behind the scenes shots that so many others seem to miss when focusing on the field of play.
Doing this for sure would help my other creative project. So part of my goals for the year of 2025 is indeed to rebuild my photo career.
I will also focus more on my writing, not only here on Saving Memories but in general. I do sit on an idea for a book. But sitting on an idea for a book is kind of meaningless unless one doesn’t take action on it. So I will add that on to my todo list for the year of 2025.
So from now on my motto will be to: Stay healthy, focused and creative!
