Talk about forgotten places. I hardly set foot in Amsterdam like ever. Today was different. Took a train early in the morning and 2h later I stepped out on the central station. Had an overpriced - but very yummie - breakfast and took a walk around the area.

Last year before qutting Facebook and such I was member of a gardening group. They called themselves garden buddies. However, buddies really felt like taking it a bit too far. Cause holy smoke what nasty characters one could find in the group!

It is no secret I like to spend time in the garden. What is also no secret is I also crawl around in the garden with a camera in my hand trying to capture the beauty of nature.

Suddenly during yesterday afternoon the doorbell rang. My husband went to open the door and soon enough I overheard upset voices. So I also went to the front door.

During fall we picked up a batch of stones to use as decoration and dividers in the garden. Some of them never left the small flower bed in front of our house.

Next time I won’t deliver your stuff but deliver it to a pick up point as far away from your house as possible.

It is no secret I like to walk around the garden. I do it like every morning before heading to work and I do it every evening. This morning the “Scandinavian forest” looked its best.

The other day we found these on the pavers outside our kitchen (to be). First reaction: how weird! 🤔 Second reaction: are we being threatened by a builder? 😆

We lived here for 11 month. So soon enough we have a full year experience in how our house and garden looks like and changes over all the seasons. And I am pleasantly surprised to find things I didn’t find last year.

What I've learnt so far. So far I have learnt a lot about having and running a pond. Most of it because of trials and errors. But the biggest thing I've learnt so far it is a lot like photography..

So I’ve been a busy little bee. Didn’t have time for like anything else than work. Which is good cause work is good for the mind and ones wallet.

I follow a lot of show on the tele that is about interior, gardening and house renovations. But lately it is starting to be a little bit of a drag. Almost every house that gets renovated on any kind of national tv-show looks exactly the same.
