Painting floor tiles?

Here's a thing and idea that recently have entered my mind. Can one and should one paint floor tiles? In our case I believe it is a valid question. With all the delays relating to the B&B there are also other things on our property that are being delayed.
One of those things is the renovation of the downstairs - read living and dining room area. This space is currently a full blown mess but.. there's hope we can get our shit together and sort it out not too far away in time. And when I say sort it out I mean hiring men and or women to do it for us. No way we're taking on this task for us only.
But here's the thing, before we'll get there I want it spruced up. It's been way overdue as it is and wouldn't it just be swell if it looked nice for Christmas.
With this in mind I have started to look for options for a makeover that in worst case scenario also will last for a while. Enter floor paint. The stone floor feels dated, and also comes with different colours. In all our stone floor looks more or less like a crime scene marking out the furniture placement belonging to the previous owner of the house.
This Rustoleum paint seems to do the trick, and also not too expensive. So this is something we for sure need to look into.
Another thing to look into is how and what to do to the floor in our hallway. Unlike most others visiting our house I am not a fan of the original terazzo floor. Terazzo floors can look amazing.
Personally I don't believe this particular floor does anything for our house. It just looks like an old boring and somewhat misplaces terazzo floor.
