The constant gardener..

I love the fact that a tiny bit of our garden is north facing and qualifies as a “forest garden”.
Part of it was of course completely overgrown when we moved in. And after clearing things up last summer we shuffled some things around.
One of the plants shuffled into this foresty area were Hostas from the front garden.
What a nice looking plant. At least till winter comes along and make them disappear.
Which leaves the area around the terrace looking even more sad than it already was after table and chairs moved inside.
Enter Bergenias! As I already wrote about the other day. I have big plans for these little wonders.
And today I found what I hope and believe will be its perfect partner. Tiny Pintail Rhododendrons.
Both of them are winter green. Both of them grow close to the ground. Love it!
Bog plants!

Another thing to love are floating baskets for bog plants for the pond.
What a world of opportunities to grow amazing bog plants and other water plants in small and chic containers across the garden 🙌🏻
