Flower pot touch up - guilders wax 🙉

Touch up..

How neat it this? The colour is Bronze and not as Orange as in the picture. I'd say this made all the difference with this nice looking but a bit of dull flower pot in the kitchen. This was also a kind of experiment using Guilders Wax.

This whole concept of Guilders Wax is somewhat new to me but so far so good. I really like the way it is working and am experimenting my way through the house finding and looking for things that may need a bit of a touch up or just a new life full stop.

Gilding, also known as gold leafing or simply gold coating, is the art of applying thin layers of gold onto surfaces like wood, metal, or stone to create a decorative and often luxurious effect.

Like the flea market horse I turned into a bronze statue the other week. I also turned a complete boring faded vase from IKEA, which I bought when we were staging our old house to sell, into something more sparkly and appealing now standing in our front room window.

The front room would be the current TV-room of our house. Something that may change next summer when we hope we have both the time and money to completely redo downstairs. If we can pull that one off it would be truly amazing.
