Wallonia, a forgotten place..

Here’s a thing I don’t understand, Belgium. Not only cause it is divided into Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels. But also cause it is an absolute amazing country.
Long white beaches by the coast and intriguing rivers, forests and hills in the south east.
Flanders, is the vibrant Dutch-speaking region, located in the northern part of Belgium.
Flanders boasts a tapestry of cultural and economic significance. I.E. the city of Antwerp, is a bustling port city and stands out as a major hub for the diamond trade.
This dynamic region invites you to explore its rich heritage, artistic endeavours, and thriving commerce, offering a unique blend of tradition and modernity for every visitor to enjoy.

Welcome to Wallonia!
However, the forests and the hills in the south east is one of my favourite parts in the world.
There is a lot to see and a lots to do. At least in some places. Others just offer great views and abandoned places.
Cause Wallonia, is the charming French-speaking region nestled in southern Belgium. This picturesque area is renowned for its well-preserved medieval towns, exquisite Renaissance-era architecture, and the exquisite craftsmanship of traditional Trappist beers.
Even so, sometimes it feels totally abandoned and like dead. Which is such a pity, but for sure it is also a missed business opportunity in regards to tourism.
In all Wallonia feels a bit like a diamond in the rough.
The irony of it all is a lot of people in the Benelux travel to France and or Sweden to enjoy the exact same kind of nature experiences which are to be found in their own back garden.
