We are indeed renovating, again..

Someone like: I thought you were renovating.

And I’m like: Yes we are!

Someone like: But there are only photos of plants. I want to see the reno.

So here it is.

The current state of our guest toilet. Not so chic dot much! At least not in its current state. And here’s the thing. Maybe I am focusing a little bit too much on the garden. BUT.. we’re on our fourth summer of renovations. For the fourth summer in a row we are still bloody renovating.

All this is of course our own fault and our own choice. But right now when finalising the kitchen plus the guest house it is starting to wear us down. We are tired, things are dusty and we sleep in the dining room. Plus we have no kitchen. Which means our boot room is SWAMPED, with crap.

Push woman, push!

I have stopped counting how many times I have pushed the box with our new coffee machine across the floor in the boot room. Where ever the bloody thing is placed it is always IN THE WAY!!

Either it is blocking the oven of our old stove that is standing in the middle of the room. Or it is blocking our fridge - that belongs in the boot room - or our washing machine. It is just IN THE WAY!!

Tomorrow our new kitchen will arrive. On Thursday it will be installed. Sounds great. BUT.. then we need to tile the back splash. And we do not have the tiles for that. Unlike all those renovation shows on the tele we actually want to see our kitchen in place first before we start selecting those final tiles. Cause it is all about the light.

Speaking of which. We went for light stones for the kitchen floor. But for the guest house we went rustic wood. And I/we just love the way the guest house kitchen floor is shaping up. Imagine being a guest booking our guest suite and see this sexy floor when entering the front door. I believe it will be a smash hit!
